A living A–Z reader’s index

Hindu words, understood with tradition, history and intellectual honesty.

From Archana and Aarti to Sankalpa, Pravara, Naivedya, Veda and Yoga—every entry separates sacred meaning, historical development, practical importance and the modern evidence lens.

Our five-lens method

“Science behind it” is a question—not a decorative proof label

Some observances are theological or symbolic; some also involve attention, breath, movement, hygiene or community. We say which is which. We do not invent health promises, back-project a precise discovery date when none is known, or reduce a sacred tradition to a laboratory claim.

Alphabet note: “A–Z” is an English reader’s index, not a replacement for Sanskrit, Kannada or Telugu alphabetical order. Terms such as Kshetra may be cross-indexed under the spelling readers are most likely to search.

Evidence register

Where modern health language appears, primary guidance comes first

Yoga and meditation evidence is summarized conservatively from public health institutions. Ritual-anxiety research can describe group-level patterns but cannot prove the theological meaning of a particular rite. Tradition, symbolism, history and clinical evidence remain clearly labelled.
